What is a Capybara?

Did you know that a Capybara can grow up to four feet and weigh up to 150 pounds? The large rodent is native to South America. It was first spotted in Gainesville in the early 1990s. Experts think that it escaped from a research facility in northern Florida. Sightings of the animal have been confirmed in Hillsborough and Sarasota counties.
