A Batty situation inside a Walmart!

 

ALVIN, Texas —

A spokesperson for Walmart reported Sunday, that a wildlife specialist was on site at their company’s store in Texas, conducting a “catch and release” of bats, that were first reported in the store approximately 2 weeks ago.

Bryan, a customer had spotted several bats flying in and  above grocery aisles Sunday afternoon.

“We were getting groceris and went to check out,” he said. “We turned around and there were 4-5 bats flying all over the place.”

It had been weeks that customers have been shooting cellphone video fo the winged creatures swooping near meat and deli counters.

It is thought that the bats had apparently been staying in the lawn and garden section of the store and then they started showing up in other sections.

“They were going from one side where the meat department is over to the pharmacy and swooping down,” the customer said of his encounter on Sunday.

After the capture, the bats will be released elsewhere.
