Snake has New Name, New Home

Bradenton Herald

Nuisance Wildlife Removal Inc. recently announced the donation of a 10-foot python and tegu that were recently captured by the company to Matthews Wildlife Rescue.

While Nuisance Wildlife received a number of calls from citizens that wanted to “adopt” either of the animals, the commitment of the owners to relocate wildlife when allowed by law led them to find a local resource that could place the snake in a learning or educational setting.

“The standard practice with a captured python would be to euthanize the animal. When we captured this snake, our goal was to avoid having to do that and place the snake with a wildlife rescue organization for educational purposes.” said Jeff Norris, owner of NWR. “Fortunately, Justin (Matthews) was able to provide a permanent home at Mixon’s Wildlife Refuge for both the snake and the tegu. Not only has he provided a home for both of them, but the snake now has a name too. We think Crosby the snake will be very happy in his new environment. ”

“With this placement, both the python and the tegu will be available for the general public to view and learn from.” Norris said. “Nuisance Wildlife Removal supports the mission of Matthews Wildlife Rescue and encourages anyone that wanted to adopt either of these animals to make a donation to help keep them in their new homes.”

Nuisance Wildlife Removal, Inc. is a family-owned and operated company with offices in Parrish and West Palm Beach. They service the Tampa Bay/Sarasota/Bradenton areas with humane wildlife removal and relocation as allowed by law. For more information about NWR, visit visit www. floridawildlifetrapper.com.

Its like you read my mind! You appear to know so much about this, like you wrote the book in it or something. I think that you can do with some pics to drive the message home a little bit, but other than that, this is wonderful blog. A fantastic read. I’ll certainly be back.
