Baylisascaris procyonis

Now here is something you do not ever want to catch. Baylisascaris procyonis is known as the Raccoon Roundworm, because it is most prevalent in Raccoons, and can be transmitted through contact, even indirect, with their feces. That doesn’t mean you picked up raccoon poop and ate it. It means that the eggs of this parasite can live for years either in soil, on plants, or in water, until ingested by some unsuspecting animal. It can, under the right circumstances, be breathed in as well.
